So.. I am scheduled to take the DAT early APRIL...I was wondering if anyone could provide general advice for the QR section..such as.. is it mainly algebra, trig..alot of probability questions? I am still concerned with the fact that I have to begin studying for this exam and have a semester of hard courses to study for also...any suggestions here?

It will require much discipline to juggle both, and do well, but it is very possible. If you haven't already, come up with a schedule where you split your time between your school work and DAT studying. Find what works for you and make a point to stick to it. Also, always try to make connections between the new material you learn in your classes and the concepts tested on the DAT. Linking and making associations across topics can only strengthen the results you get from studying!
Good luck, and just think... once its over, finals will feel like a piece of cake!
😉

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I know that it will take a lot of discipline, and I honestly think that I am up to the challenge...however, I am stuck with the thoughts of how much work (study hours) that it will take. On average, I calculated like 75 hours of studying prior to the exam...is this enough?... I limited myself to 4 hours on Sat..for the first 3 weeks then.. 2 hours a day Mon-Fri for the next week...then it is home for spring break and I have calculated about 6 hours a day during that week...then the next weekend I take the exam..what do you guys think? I am most worried about the Bio and the QR sections..do you have any suggestions on study material..what I have formulated from this forum is that I will purchase Destroyer and Topscore with Kaplan and the Cliffs A.P Bio...is this enough, too much?

Once again thank you for the advice, any suggestions are important to me!

IMO, the hours you spend studying completely depends on how comfortable you are with the material and how fresh it is in your mind. Only you know how much time you need. I think you have the right idea, setting aside time for it specifically. You have to make it a priority and not just put off studying because you have a class.

Rose: Thanks! I know I just tend to freak out! BUT... what material do you think is most beneficial for the bio, QR and for PAT?

For bio: Cliffs AP
For PAT: Crack the pat
For QR: I have no clue. I have Crack the Dat math but it's so filled with errors that it's screwing me up. So anything but that.

These subject tests you speak of, how can I get my hands on them w/o having taken a class?
