😀 Can we start a QR thread here with people talking about sample questions? Or their experiences with the QR on the real test? Mine sucked!

I figured it would clean the board up a little bit, and make it easier for people to find all the compiled information on this site...just my 2 cents. 🙄

It sucked, alot of trig. i was able to pull a 17. will retake it aswell. congrads on the interview, and good luck.

I got an 18 on it, wrote it last week. Had 11 word problems, took time to solve, i think thats why i got 18 only.

Hey, QR is my favorite.. I got a 21 but I could've done much better. (I got 23-29 in my practice tests). Definitly my favorite section on the DAT. PM me if you have questions.

I usually kill QR in practice exams. However, I didnt perform as well on the real DAT. Partially because they gave me a crapload of trig. questions. Secondly, I was too busy erasing my scratch paper, so that I have space to work out the next problem. So, it is best to be prepared and study all those SAT math problems. If you performed well on SAT math, you will do well on DAT math. I know friends and family who took the DAT and from my experience and their experience as well, I can vouch for the previous statement. So, just relax, study and try your best.
Take care,
Rich

Hey guys,

I keep hearing that theres alot of Trig stuff on real DAT, and I was wondering what kind of questions would that include...should i just know the identities or know the angles? I'm really worried...i keep getting 17-- topscore test and very bad on the Kaplan practice tests for this section. Also, what abt geometry....are there alot of questions from this part of QR. I would appreciate any feedbacks. Thank you guys. 🙂

For me it's not the material that is hard, its just that some questions take long and time is not enough. So you have to be fast and have a technique

See if this works for you : You have 40 total questions. And time is short. Your first goal should be to get ~30-31 questions done as quickly as possible, skipping the longer word problems or the questions you are having difficulties with, just skip them and get your 30 done quickly. <- that assures you about a 20-21 score. After that, you can take the time you have left to do the 10 or so questions left with ease knowing you've pulled atleast a 20 (<- assuming you got them correct). But dont waste your time, do the ones which u can do quickly first(keep in mind, questions are weighed equally, so do the quickies first so you dont miss them if time runs out)

well, i got a 28 on my QR section...but mine had VERY few trig questions...most were word problems and algebra problems...

i guess i had a super easy test? cuz i was able to do my QR test 2 times to ensure i didn't make any stupid mistakes...

i've always had a strong background in math though, so i didn't even prepare for this section..

anyway, maybe some of you will get my version of the QR with few trig problems...

pm me if anyone needs help 🙂
