So I just got back from UOP Pre-Dental Simulation Course. It was awesome. It was brought up during one of the lectures by the director of admissions that QR is changing to Critical Thinking in a couple (could be more) years. She was talking about how average DAT scores are "___" except for QR which is lower. Then she stated that change.

Has anyone heard any detail of this?

what do you mean by "critical thinking".... cause the MCAT verbal is considered "critical thinking"

I'm not sure. She didnt get into details about the specific section. The point was just that QR score averages are low and its not as important as the others sections, so there will be changes.

I see. I am just gonna make a guess and say that they are going to turn it into a verbal reasoning section. I think PCAT has this, they have a reading comprehension and a verbal section.

The PCAT does this? It seems kind of redundant. Verbal reasoning should imply you have at least a certain level of reading comprehension.

Yeh I just double checked it, directly from wiki:

lol I hope not. I love qr. Its relaxing to do pat & Qr on the dat. Its real pleasure.

I hate reading i hope they never make qr into critical thinking.

Math is very important. just b/c more students are scoring low in math should not be the sole reason to switch qr to critical thinking b/c its like ohh there is a weakness in our students math how do we fix it, you know what math is not imp. just skip it or change it.
