Am I expected to know these formulas... I've only used Chads Videos to study this section and they weren't mentioned explicitly.

What is the formula for the area of a shape with N sides and a length from center to a corner S?
[N sin(360/N) S^2]/2

What is the formula for the number of diagonals of a shape with n sides?
[n(n-3)]/2

general ellipse formula:

ellipse area formula: A=(pi)ab

foci formula: c²= a² − b²

Hi there, yeah, unfortunately you will be expected to know these formulas. They will not be given on the test.

In my opinion, the chances of you facing these problems are slim, but they could be on your DAT. Personally, I feel like memorizing these formula does not test your QR, but you don't want to take chances. One extra question right could make a big difference.

Good luck!
