quarter hours?

i'm applying to pharm schools right now and i hate how there are different requirements for each school! i love the profession, but the application process is so stressful. 😱

anyway, can somebody explain to me what quarter hours/semester hours mean? i want to make sure i have most of my pre-reqs done.

Quarter system: most classes are 5 credit hours

Semester system: most classes are 3 credit hours.

To cover semester to quarter, simply multiply semeter hours x 1.5 = quarter hours. For example: 3 semester hours x 1.5 = 4.5 quarter hours (which is accepted as 5 credit hours)

To convert quarter to semester, multiply quarter hours x .6 =semester hours.
5 quarter hours x .6 = 3 semester hours.
