Hey guys,

I feel dumb for asking this but in my undergrad I was on a quarter system. BU's instructions say, "Quarter to Semester Conversion: 3 quarters = 2 semesters. You can round up if your conversion does not come out to a whole number".

From this conversion scale 1 quarter= 0.666 semesters. Thus if I took 2 quarters of a class= 1.33 semesters do I round it off to 2 semesters or 1?

Leave it as decimal. Let them decide to round up if need be

Thanks for the quick reply. The only thing is that they say specifically that they want whole numbers and in their instructions they say "You can round up if your conversion does not come out to a whole number?"

So just to confirm I would even round 1.33 up to 2?

I cut and pasted this from my completed BU secondary:

Quarter/Trimester Conversion: 3 quarters/trimesters - 2 semesters (If your calculation is not a whole number, round up)

BU does not say you "can" round up, they directly tell you to round up. Round up.

Thanks! It just felt weird to round something up that high.
