Does anyone know when most schools have to tell you whether you have been accepted or not? For some reason I am thinking May, but I'm not sure. Or, does it depend upon the school?

Hello:

Most schools will let you know if you are accepted within one to two months after you have been interviewed. They may put your file on hold if it is not complete. This may happen if you still need to take a prerequisite course or retake the OAT for example. After the interview and your file is complete, I would think that schools will let you know within a month if you are accepted, wait-listed or rejected. I would say that this should not happen more than 3 months after the end of the application cycle or last interview date for the school. If you are wait-listed, the timing of your acceptance (or not) will vary depending on who is declining their acceptance. If you are on the wait-list, you may then get an official acceptance a week later or even potentionally the day before school begins.
