So I just did the first RC in Achiever and it really wasn't that bad. I got 30/50= 1 question away from an 18 which I would be super happy with for the real DAT. I did this by actually reading the passage quickly to myself for 5-6 minutes (rushing the end when getting close to that). I found it much easier to answer q's than just winging it with search and destroy like I do for Topscore. (Been getting 20 for those).

Can someone please tell me: how exactly does achiever differ from real RC. I understand the real may be "easier". But please, elaborate...are passages shorter/easier to comprehend/questions quicker finds? Let me know. Greatly appreciate feedback.

Also: random question...I whisper to myself while I read O_O. Is that okay to do during the DATs? Will they think I am cheating?

Oh and another question...I feel like if I read the entire passage for ones like topscore...I wouldn't be able to answer q's in time/find answers to get a higher score than 17/18ish even if they are search and destroy. Any thoughts? :S Not sure which strategy to use.

I got the Achiever and I regret it. It is extremely difficult (to me at least). I always hit 14 or 15....even when I retook the exam. Shows how much fail I am HAHA. But yeah, I spent no time practicing as Achiever made me lose hope for that section. For me, reading half of the passage and then use S&D worked just fine for me on the real DAT.

If you are hitting 18s on Achiever, you should be just fine on the real one.

Thanks guys haha. I'm such an idiot changing my method 10 days before my exam x_x but RC was the one thing I felt I was relying on luck for with S&D (and I have HORRIBLE luck). So, knowing I have a method to "just read", I feel I can't go wrong. I suggest that to all the other rc worriers out here. JUST READ, even if its only half the thing and you're super rushed towards the end. You will find a peace of mind practicing that way, hopefully. And hope it works for me :xf:.
