Hey guys,

Got my step I tomorrow. I heard that the format changed a bit, notably 46 questions per block now. I am wondering if several of you who took the test just recently could tell me:

1. How many total blocks of questions are there? I heard one was a survey block.

2. How much time do you have for each block to complete?

3. How does break time work? If you don't take break in between two blocks, I heard that adds to your break time total. Now, if you finish exam faster than given time alotted, does that also add to your break time? How much total break time is given?

Thanks. I am getting half nervous, but half tired to the point that I am kind of studying but can't focus really anymore. My place looks like dump. I really wish I do well tomorrow, but, I am so tired. Sigh.

1. 7 blocks of 46q 1 block of survey

2. 60mins

3. 45mins break + whatever time you have left after the intro and headphone setup, if you finish a block early the time left is added to your break time

its hard not to get nervous, just try as much to stay calm the first block, after that it will start to feel like you are doing blocks or uw, goodluck

Thanks buddy for all the answers for both threads. You have been really helpful...I am just getting anxious, hah.

no problem, and if a question seem easy dont over think it, and dont get bogged down on the ridiculously difficult ones, you will do fine

Will do. And by the way, is there designated "lunch break" or do you just take the time to eat when you feel like it with the time alotted?

at the end of each block you will be given the option to take a break or continue onto the next block, you have to make the choice within 30secs or so else it will take you to the next block by default

I thought you automatically went on break if you did nothing. Can't recall though.

Nope. If you do nothing, it will mark it as an unauthorized break (red screen). Prometric staff will then call the police and your test will be marked for irregular behavior. Get ready for Gitmo.
