I am seeing more and more medical schools that require Calculus as a requisite. I took the BC Exam and received a 5 on both the BC and AB portions. Would I still need to take a semester of calculus, or would I be okay if I just took the credit? Thanks!

Just take the credit. I did and no school had an issue with it

The calc requirement is going away for the most part. Schools are realizing it's far more important for med students to have a background in statistics.
However not all schools will accept AP credit so you may still need to take a math class or two

I think most or all schools which still have the calc requirement will take it, at least as long as your college awards credit for it (I know WUSTL, JHU, and HMS, which held onto their calc 2 requirement for a while, are all ok with calc AP). Check all your in state med schools' requirements but you're probably fine with what you've got.

When I applied, UCLA was the only school that did not accept AP for calculus. According to this year's MSAR they don't even require calc any more, only recommend it, so I don't know of any schools that require a college Calc class any more.
