I am currently 3 classes away from the 90 semester hours minimum. I attend school in September and will achieve the 90 semester minimum in December. But by the time of application, I will not be at the minimum. Is it worth applying? Or will I automatically get shut down because of the lack of my credits? Please help!

Thanks

No, don't worry about it.
Thanks sjv for the reply, I really appreciate it. I just want to clarify, do you mean 'no' to 'is it worth applying?' or 'no' to 'will i automatically get shut down?'
Sorry, just want to be sure. It's quite expensive haha

Apply away, those are the minimum requirements for matriculation and assuming you'll complete your bachelor's, it won't matter.

Thanks mate. I won't have my bachelor's by the time I finish this upcoming school year (sept 2014), I'll have to do another half year still. By the time I finish this next school year, I'll be at 105 semester hours w/o a degree.

But since you said it will be all good, I will apply then. I was just wondering because when I emailed Baylor college, the admissions lady says that I would need 90 credits by the time of application, so obviously I can't apply there. I was just wondering if other schools have this same requirement of having the 90 by the time of application or by the time of getting into the school.

Well that changes a few things, I would definitely wait until you are on track to complete your degree, especially as a Canadian applying to US schools (just saw your previous posts). Also, you shouldn't look at those Texas schools, your chances are essentially 0.

So don't apply this year? 🙁 that's too bad! Yeah man, I have okay DAT scores and a great GPA, so I guess I was just hoping for a hail mary.
Thanks for helping me out

The statistics don't lie, you said it yourself that your chances are slim as a Canadian without a degree, you definitely would benefit more by waiting a year.

That sucks! You're right. I was just thinking: the sooner I get accepted, the better. Was just hoping I could break the stats haha

Sorry man, one more thing:
I've got that ADEA dental school book and it says that some schools accept students w/ a minimum of 60 semester hours. I'll probably just apply at those schools then, such as USC. But thanks for the advice

Haha money is always an issue! I guess I'll apply next year. Write my Canadian DAT again and bump up my grades even higher.
