Hey am a carib IMG, know theres an FAQ but didnt know how new it was and could use some current answers. I will be applying for the upcoming match have a 248/254 on steps 1 and 2, published poster presentations at national conferences, great LOR's from non-Radiology attendings so far. I hope that gets me at least some interviews off the bat....

more importantly about LOR's...i am getting one from a rads physician i follow on weekends/own time not on a specific rotation as my interest in rads stemmed from actually reading films during surgery and ICU rotations extensively and by then my school has already filled out my elective schedule = no rads electives before interview time (sept/oct). Thus my question is that if a letter or two from physicians i follow on my time are sufficient and how many do I need to be a realistic applicant. I know my scores arent SUPER high but i think i should be a decent applicant (hope?). Please input appreciated as ERAS opens in less than a month to begin setting up the application so help a brotha out!

you should apply to the 2009 radiology matching lists, there 2 lists available, goodluck.

what lists are these that you speak of? Never heard of them and tried searching on SDN/google with no results. Mind letting me know where to acess them?

You should have at most 1 LOR from a rads and that is not even necessary.

Most of LORs should be from clinical rotations. Preferably, one should be at least from med or surg.
