Say you take Calculus and get a C (4 hours). You retake it and get an A. Will AMCAS count that as a B for 8 hours or a B for 4 hours? I just want to make sure I'm calculating my overall GPA correctly.

Thanks.

It will actually be a C for 4 hours and an A for four hours. Essentially a B for 8 hours, but really it is just like taking two separate classes and getting an A in one and a C in one, both are worth 4 credits. There is no grade replacement for MD schools.

I figured as much, thank you.
