Question About Bad Situation...

So, I enrolled in a class at a state university for the summer in May, and I decided that I shouldn't take it because of financial reasons and other opportunities. I forgot to drop the class online, and now I owe the university $1000, and I have a W on my transcript. I am currently appealing the tuition that I have to pay, but there is nothing I can do about the W. I didn't attend a single class or lab, and I have to deal with this W on my transcript. I guess my question is do I need to report this to med schools or should I just sort of ignore it? It really is an unnecessary situation that could have been avoided, but I don't really know if it's as big a deal as I am making it out to be.

You would have to report it, and FYI 1 W.. hell even 3 won't matter much.. its when it becomes a habit when you hafta worry

definitely report it; 1 W isnt gonna matter much, especially if you are going to take that class again at your primary institiution. it may come up in your interviews, so you could have a chance to explain it. Make sure it doesnt keep happening though
