Question about booking hotels and checkout...

So this may be a dumb question but I haven't stayed in a hotel by myself in...ever... So basically I am booking a hotel for my USC interview on Sept 29th and will arrive at the hotel the night before Sept28. Moreover the checkout will be noon on Sept 29th (MY return flight back is Sept 29th late evening). So my question is what the hell do I do with my luggage/bag if I have to checkout before I leave for my interview? I am not going to bring luggage with me to an interview....

Thanks sorry if this is a common sense question I am really boggled on what I should do. 😳

You should be able to check out of the hotel in the morning (before the interview) and ask them to hold your baggage at the front desk (or wherever they hold baggage). My brother and sister have done that before and said it'll probably be fine.

Your HOtel should hold it for you
or if you have an interview a little later in the day you can go to the airport and check your luggage, head to your interview and then back to airport
or you can check out, call UPS and ship your luggage home

least practical? $50 to ship your bag home and and not have to worry about it at all, UPS picks it up from your location and you are set. Almost the same price as checking bags now...
Least practical would be;
Just wear whatever you plan on the flight there, the hotel provides soap, shampoo tpaste, t brush, and use soap as deodorant. Then you do not need a bag at all. Wear the same stuff home on the flight out and you are all set.

just searched real quick, 40 lb bag from Tampa to Louisville arrive 2 days $31.27
Not expensive and if you have a tight schedule after your interview to make a flight it could be a good option. Think outside the box a little 😉

I don't think I wanna wear my suit on the airplane and then sleep with it on? lol i would need to bring some other forms of alternative clothing which would require some form of bag or backpack at least...and I don't wanna carry even a small backpack to the interview; I think it would just be weird?
