Hi everyone!
I had a question about CA licensure - it looks like per California Business and Professions Code Section 1387.3, individuals who are employed in non mental health settings (e.g., professors) can accrue the 1500 required postdoc hours in non clinical settings as long as they submit a SPE plan and have a licensed supervisor signing off on their hours and providing supervision. In fact, it looks like the board has a specific separate form on their website for SPE plan in non clinical settings.
Have any other academics in CA pursued licensure this way and submitted their research and teaching hours toward the postdoctoral hour requirement rather than doing a supplemental clinical post doc / registering as a registered psyc associate at a private practice?
Thanks a ton in advance!
