I have a question for grading calculating AMCAS GPA. Prior to entering undergraduate college, I already earned 51 credit hours from a community college (From classes like US Pre-colonial, US history, pre-calc, calc, calc 2, biology, chemistry, english comp 1 and english comp 2). These credits are from a community college that runs on trimesters. I also got 10 credits from a community college for my EMT prior to entering my freshman year in college(2 terms). Of these classes, I got all As.

How would these classes factor into my AMCAS gpa? Since it only requires 120 credits to graduate from undergraduate and I already have 61 credits of As, wouldn't this majorly boost my AMCAS gpa?

I also retook bio and chem since my undergraduate college would not accept any of these 61 credits.

Would my gpa be recalculated to show an inflated GPA because of my high school performance in the community college credits?

Yeah, these credits will count toward your undergraduate GPA. The high marks may get you past initial application screens at med schools, but don't count on them carrying you into an acceptance because a human will eventually review the GPA breakdown.

Enter them into AMCAS, mark down 'high school' for their status, and be sure to have a transcript from the CC forwarded.

thanks for the answer.

when you say initial application screen, that means my CC grades would give me a better chance of having a human review my EC right?

It means that if they are screening for a minimum gpa, you may get a pass but when the adcom will review your entire file, they will expect to see a wider range of more challenging courses from a 4-year college (i.e. more university level credits). Otherwise you may get a thumb down, but anything is possible.
