I'm a little confused about the process of changing acceptance between schools. I was accepted to a school in November and I sent the deposit for that school. Now, I've found out I am accepted to another school that I want to go to I think. So am I suppose to tell the PharmCAS and the first school that I want to give up my spot to go to another school? or can I just reserve both spots for now and think about it?

Any advice would help. I am not sure how the process works because, Jim at USC said you have to call PharmCAS and tell them...something like that...iono 😕

That's weird, all I had to do last year was the call the first school and tell them I didn't want to go there anymore.

so what 2 schools are you debating between?

If you don't mind losing the money for deposit at one school, you can hold your spot in both schools until you decide. It would be courteous, though not required, to inform the school that you are NOT going to attend of your intentions, as soon as you decide where you are going to go.

I don't know anything about PharmCAS having to be notified... once the school sends you the acceptance and you send them your deposit, PharmCAS is out of the loop.... Anyone know any differently? I don't plan on calling PharmCAS ever again. I'm communicating with schools at this point, not through a middle man... Tell the school(s) directly whatever you need to tell them and let the school communicate with PharmCAS if they want to... that shouldn't be your responsibility at this point. 😕
