Well I read a lot in these forums b/c dentistry is something I want to do so much and I see many ppl write that D2 is the hardest year of dental school, why is it? Is it that there are so many classes and tests or the material is so intense?

I think it's because most schools do the boards after 2nd year. And so they are still in the classroom for the most part learning the material.
I hear it's not so much complicated things, but moreso the sheer volume of stuff being thrown at you. A lot of dental students in first and second year are in class from 9am-4pm, and the odd days you may get off at noon or 1pm. And almost all this time is lecture. So combine that with having to study for exams. Some schools have all the exams in a span of a week or two, others separate them and will have exams throughout the term. I hear that generally it's pretty relax until the time rolls around for exams - like people go to the gym and such.
