I'm taking CK in a couple of weeks. I did DIT a while ago, but never really sat and memorized the material. I have been relying on UW, which I finished last week for the first time...avg was something like a 58%.

I started UW for the second time this week...and after about 10 blocks I have an 78% average. My scores are pretty good (70s-upper80s), but I wanted to know if I can take stock in them since it's my second go around.

I know NBME is the best gauge, but I just wanted to know what you guys think regarding UW scores on a second pass of the questions. Thanks.

The problem with doing UWorld a second time is that are the changes in your score because you know the material better or are the changes because you remember the questions from the first time you went through them. I'd suggest using a separate QBank to gauge where you are because you don't want to give yourself false confidence

Thanks for the reply. The thing is, I don't really remember the questions per se...it's more like I remember the concept they are testing.

See for me, when I'd see a question, I wouldnt remember the actual question but I would remember pattern recognition and the few keywords that would key me into the correct answer. But thats just me, if it works for you go with it

Yeah I know what you mean...I guess it's the same for me. I remember that being useful during Step I though, since they use many of the same 'patterns' in their question stems.
