Hi everyone,
I am planning to apply to DO schools as well as Allo med schools this app cycle. I know allo med schools are really unforgiving when it comes to Cs. Are osteopathic schools like that too? I have a few Cs (like five!)throughout my undergrad and i am kinda freaking out about them now. I have an overall 3.4 at UCLA. Can someone give me some feedback?

No, I think that GPA will be fine at the DO schools, of course depending on how the MCAT is...But yeah, most of the DO schools have 3.4-3.6 averages so you're just fine there I think.

unfortunately my mcat aint that great either. I gave it for the first time got a 22 and then again and raised it only by three points to a 25 (8 PS, 8V, and 9 BS). 🙁

3.4 GPA, 25 mcat (with your breakdown), good letters of rec., and a little bit of research should be able to get you into somewhere! Good Luck!!

you are solid...I wouldn't stress. Even C's for MD are not necessarily the death of an application. I would guess your MCAT would hurt you more for MD than C's would.

You should be ok. I'm in with an F or two on my record. Time passed and I matured and pulled a 4.0 in prereqs. I also had some clinical experience but my overall gpa was a 3.0 with a 3.2 in science even with the 4.0 in prereqs. MCAT was about the same.

Decide what you want to do, talk to the admissions office of the places you're interested in, and go do what they tell you to do. Keep the faith.... 👍
