2 Bs will not be a deal breaker for you in medical school by any stretch. I don't think there is a need for you to take upper level bio to "make up for it" - only take the classes if you want to. A much more direct way to show your strength in intro biology would be to do well on MCAT later down the road.

Concentrate on your major, take classes that you want to (don't restrict yourself to science or you'll go crazy!!), and don't forget to have a little bit of fun along the way (don't worry I won't tell anyone)!

Hope this helps!

Just continue to get As to pull your GPA up. It would be a disaster if you took classes that you weren't interested in, thinking that it would make up something, and end up doing poorly in those "make-up" classses.

okay so is it ok if the overall gpa is higher than bcpm gpa? becasue most ppl on mdapplicants have their bcpm gpa higher... that was another reason why i wanted to take genetics and microbio... but if thats not the case i'll just take some core classes and increase my overall gpa.

The average med school matriculate has their overall GPA .1 or .2 higher than their BCPM GPA, so its actually normal.
