Correct. When you receive your scores, you click the option to release them to the schools. Your AMCAS application will be updated, and once you submit (or resubmit) your application all the schools to which you applied will have access to it.

Partially correct- correct in that it's usually about 3 years, with some variation by school. However, all MCATs you have ever taken will appear on the score report sent to AMCAS. Only the ones within the last ~3 years will be considered "valid" for that application cycle when the schools are looking at them.
