If a person is accepted to two schools currently and they are unsure on which to attend yet. Do you just send each school the deposit they request and that essentially holds your spot?

So by May 15, you must be holding only one acceptance and must tell the other schools you are withdrawing?

yes, that's exactly what you should do

A lot of us with multiple acceptance will withdraw after we see financial aid packages in April. But yes, after May 15, you can only hold onto one school (although you're allowed to stay on waitlists at other schools).

tink's right

yeap that's true. also, if you happen to get another acceptance AFTER the may 15 deadline, you get two weeks to decide which one to accept, otherwise they may both drop you. However, if they offer you right before classes start, they may give you only days to even hours (that happened to my friend who got accepted to a top 10 school the day before her classes started). Good luck. Its kinda weird deciding where to go, exciting too. You have to think long and hard about it, then you also have to not think about it, and finally it all makes sense somehow in the middle of the nite while you're partying. Have fun, good luck.

Yeah I agree with everyone above but you may want to consider that by holding multiple acceptances all the way until the deadline drags out the process for the person who will eventually get that spot. As you know waiting to find out is awful and its just considerate to make your decision as soon as you can after you get you financial aid package. Its up to you of course and you would be well within your rights to hold more than one up until may 15th. Congrats!
