I'm a Texas resident and I was accepted to BCM this spring. Also, I am waitlisted at UTH (McGovern) and UTSW. Is it possible/probable that I will not get off either waitlist because the adcoms can see that I'm going to BCM? I'm curious because it seems bizarre to get into BCM but not UTH.

Also, I thought my UTSW interview was my best performance of the entire season. I know the general wisdom is that students are poor judges of their interview skills, but I have predicted my acceptances/silences very well. It seems like UTSW is just as highly regarded as BCM so trying to poach a BCM acceptee would not always be unproductive.

Thank you for your input!

I've noticed that TX has had very little movement this year, or at least it seems as such. You may be correct in your assumption, but I think it's just as much being a "victim" of this cycle, but with a BCM acceptance, I hardly consider you a victim hahaha

It's possible where this is one of the rare instances that sending a letter of intent may help because Baylor is comparable to SW and "more prestigious" or whatever than UTH. However, I wouldn't recommend sending one of these unless you're absolutely 100% sure that you would attend that school given the option.
