If I am taking org II this summer or coming fall, do I have to put that somewhere in my AMCAS?
otherwise will I be rejected for not having taken that class yet ?

I'm not exactly sure but I would put it in there.

Yes, list current and future coursework on AMCAS. The classes you haven't taken yet will be designated as "future" on your primary.

You're taking the MCAT without having taken OrgII?

I would list it as a future class. That way, schools will know exactly when you plan to take it and not question where it is on your app.

MCAT is designed so that you can take it with OrgoII in progress. It's not a huge deal to take it pre-OrgoII. There wasn't any complicated orgo on there anyway.

The pre-reqs must be completed before matriculation into medical school - that is the only real "deadline" as far as the completion of pre-reqs is concerned.

thanks for the responses....

yeah i took the mcat without orgo2 and bio was my best score... i just had to study org stuff a little longer 🙂 but there werent many questions anyway, guess i will have a step up when i finally take the class (..been avoiding it as long as i can, i HATE org!)

Most pre-meds hate orgo. I think that's the point. Good luck!
