I have done some research and have gotten a publication out of it. On my AMCAS application I will talk about the research experience and categorize it accordingly. But for the publication (will make this a new item), what should I talk about, because I already talked about my research under the "research experience" section? Should I go into more detail or just cite the publication?

thanks

Well, the first paragraph should be written in simple terms (some adcoms have members of the community serving on them). The rest can be technical.

Basically describe the project and your role for the publication.

Provide the citation at the end of the entry

The research entry should be more broad than the publication one

There's a better thread for this question (for future reference) http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=813591
