question about secondaries and LORs

I'm still waiting on a letter for my letter packet so I haven't been able to send it to AMCAS yet. If I start getting secondaries soon, do I have to wait to submit those until my letters are ready to be sent, or can I send in the secondary app with the essays and all that and then send in my letters when they're ready? Thanks in advance.

You can send the secondary apps and then send in the letters when they're ready.

👍 Agree. The order doesn't matter to them, just that everything gets in. In most cases, your application won't get looked at until everything is in though, so to the extent you have control, don't dawdle.

I hate to hijack this thread, but I also have a similar question. I have 4 letters ready to go in a packet and waiting on a 5th, however it won't be ready till the end of July! It's from my PI so it's fairly important and will be strong. Should I just submit my packet now and be complete with schools early, sending the 5th letter in at the end of July? Or should I just wait till they're all ready because it won't make a difference?

In your case I would say you might have to wait as you wouldn't be complete without the bare requirements I'm guessing.

Still can't decide whether to send off my letter packet or wait... 😕
