Hi again,
I come from a school that is full year (sept to april) and is a 2 semestered system....fall and winter....full year courses run from fall to winter and half year courses are in the fall, or winter (as if you guys needed me to explain that 🙂
In anycase, my school offers "credits" instead of semester hours...
For example, a full year course such as Organic Chemistry is given a credit of 1.0. a half year course is given a credit of 0.5. You are considered a full time student if you take 5.0 credits in a given year.
My question is that on the AMCAS it asks you whether credits/units are convertible to semester hours....does anyone know what I should put for this?
I was under the impression that 1.0 credit equals 3 semester hrs......since for a 1.0 credit course, there are usually 3 hrs of lectures...
thanks
