Hi again,
I come from a school that is full year (sept to april) and is a 2 semestered system....fall and winter....full year courses run from fall to winter and half year courses are in the fall, or winter (as if you guys needed me to explain that
In anycase, my school offers "credits" instead of semester hours...
For example, a full year course such as Organic Chemistry is given a credit of 1.0. a half year course is given a credit of 0.5. You are considered a full time student if you take 5.0 credits in a given year.
My question is that on the AMCAS it asks you whether credits/units are convertible to semester hours....does anyone know what I should put for this?
I was under the impression that 1.0 credit equals 3 semester hrs......since for a 1.0 credit course, there are usually 3 hrs of lectures...
thanks
