Just wanted to get the opinion of IM residents/attendings. I'm a 4th year medical student who's likely applying into peds, but I'm looking to do a rotation in adult medicine to mainly to get some exposure in handling adult medical emergencies, particularly cardiac emergencies like angina/MI. I was thinking of doing a community cardiology rotation, but I was just wondering how common it would be to actually work up MIs in a cardiology rotation vs. a community emergency medicine rotation. It may be site specific, but I just want to hear the opinion of your experience if you've rotated in both.
