If I take Step 2 CK now, and don't get my score until after September 1st, a lot of people have said that I don't have to report that score to programs through ERAS (i.e., I can submit my USMLE transcript before Step 2 CK is reported). My question is, will programs know I have taken Step 2 CK but chosen not to release my score? I wouldn't think so, since that would be really no better than just letting them see the score.
I'd really like to take it sooner rather than later (end of this month even). But I want to make sure I'm not shooting myself in the foot should I have a bad test day, or whatever.
