Question about Step 3.

Hi all,

Taking this beast soon. Was wondering does Step 3 use the new DSM 5 diagnoses for psychiatric disorders? Or is it still using DSM-IV-TR? Much appreciated if recent test-takers can weight in. -Z

Along the same lines, what are new diagnoses from DSM-5 to be familiar with for step 3?

I've heard there are changes with autism spectrum disorders and also with alcohol abuse/dependence

I didn't get any questions that would have required me to know dsm 5.

Seems like most of dsm5 changes are just new names for old stuff anyway, likely doesn't matter unless you are in psych. I wouldn't worry about such minutiae for step 3
