Hi guys,

So I searched around before actually posting this question - but no topic really went over what I'm about to ask. I recently took General Physics at my university but I did NOT learn a single concept - passing the class required simply memorization of online HW problems which were presented exactly the same way on the test. The professor did not teach very well - and I had limited time to learn the subject on my own (although I still regret not trying to).

That said, I'm reading through TBR using SN2ed's schedule and I'm getting really hung up on the first chapter...and that is scaring me. Should I spend two days on Physics trying to learn + apply? My Orgo and Bio are pretty strong, dunno about Gen Chem or Verbal yet, and Physics is my weakest area because I don't know jack ****. Any advice? Do things get easier?

Buy Nova Physics and go through that book, once you have the basics down revisit Berkeley Physics

If you have problems with the first chapter, you definitely need to study the basics first.

+1... I sparingly use Nova physics before using TBR and it has helped me tremendously....My overall TBR average is shy of 70% and I got a 10 in PS on my first AAMC FL. TBR physics is great but I think it is for people who already had a good physics background. If you are weak in physics like me, you will be better off using Nova first before attacking TBR.

Refer to EK if TBR is too hard for you right now. TBR is very advanced and good once you have a solid foundation. However, they shouldn't be your only resource.

EK is even harder for him since he doesnt even know the basics.
EK assumes that you already know the basics well and it is very briefly summarized.

I haven't noticed that but I had a decent understanding of physics when I read through it, so I cannot even give an opinion. 🙁

That being said, I read TPR first, and they seemed to start off with the absolute basics.

+1 to this, I read a good chunk of TPR physics and it was very thorough but broke down the concepts very well
