Hello to everyone, im new here. i had a question about the cbc. do i need to worry about it before any school considers accepting me? and do i have to take certain steps or do certain procedures for it, as i am about to submit my primary app to amcas for processsing and didnt want it sent back to me for not doing this. my understanding of it was that once a school decides to accept an applicant, they request the background check, and thats when the screeding company emails the applicant and asks his or her consent.
thanks!

You don't need to worry about the CBC until time of acceptance and then the med school will do it for you. You can opt to purchase the CBC from certiphi screening (I think it's like 150$) just to see what the med schools will see, but you don't have to do this and it won't hold up your app if you choose not to.

I hope this helps and that I addressed your question.

thanks alot, yeh it helps, i just wanted to make sure that i have everything in order before i hit the submit button.
