Question About The Pearson's Practice Test

I'm thinking of buying the pearson practice tests.

If I buy them, take the practice test on the 10th. Would I be able to review it anytime after that (eg. 1 day before the pcat)?

And if I buy the practice tests today, would I be able to take them today, since they're online? Or would I have to register for a date?

I hope I'm understanding your question correctly. I've purchased the tests. I took the test two weeks ago. I was also scored then and I've reviewed the tests practically every day since then. So, Yes, you will be able to review it (and the correct answers and explanations) any time after you take it (you just can't get scored again).

As for your second question, once you purchase the test, you can take it ANY time you wish. I didn't take mine until a few weeks after I bought it. BUT apparently the tests do expire by the end of the PCAT testing cycle. So, for example, as of the PCAT testing date in January 2011, I will not be able to access the tests that I bought.

I just purchased all three 3 tests. Now I know people rant and rave about them. Is this because the questions are SIMILAR, or because the topics are the ones that are COVERED on the PCAT...

For example, will I see the same question on the PCAT about villi in the SI, or should I know all about every part of the digestive system? you know what im saying. Im just trying to gauge how I should study for the bio part. Cause you can literally ask anything on the PCAT

This is a tough question to answer. I haven't taken the PCAT yet but I have purchased the three tests as well. People say that some questions are very similar, if not exact, to the actual PCAT. People "rant and rave" for this reason and also because the score you get on the practice pcat will reflect pretty accurately your score on the actual PCAT.

For Bio, I would suggest that everytime you get a question wrong on the pearson practice test or on any practice test that you find that section in your bio book and read on it extensively. Since hopefully you took the class, it shouldn't be that hard to really comprehend the material, even those small pesky details. After all the different bio, the info amazingly becomes second-nature without you realizing it. This is what I have been doing and my practice scores have been slowly improving.

Thats what im doing right now. Im going over the ones Im getting wrong, and will review those concepts. Are there any indication which questions are the experimental ones, or this information is not known??

I just took one of my practice pearson PCAT tests. According to the estimated scores I got:

Verbal 50-60% (I'm estimating of course, can't tell exacts from report)
Biology 80-95%
Reading Comprehension 50-60%
Quantitative Reasoning 85-95%
Chemistry 90-99%
Composite 75-95%

Ps. by "%" I mean percentile not the % of correct answers.

As you can see I'm not really good at verbal or reading. English is my second language andI have never been good at it...any suggestions to this? Also, I am wondering if it is true that these practice tests are most accurate (as some say) to actual PCAT?
