Question about Waitlists...

So if we are placed on the waitlist...do we have to wait ALLLL the way until next May to find out if we move?

Is there any chance we could be pulled off the waitlist in January or around there?

Or are we set in stone until May?

Just wondering if waitlists are a deadend until all candidates have interviewed or if there is some movement ever...
Any ideas?

Waitlist :
You have to wait till everyone has finished interviewing. And yu get the spots vacated by accepted applicants.
Hold:
You can be pulled anytime or eventually waitlisted.
I'm 99% sure about the above.

to my knowledge usually have to wait until the return date for acceptances- then can move very very quickly even emails that very day!
