Hey,

I have a question about withdrawing my application and getting refund from deposit.
I sumitted my deposit of $1000 to hold up my seat, however, I withdraw my application from midwestern University.
So, $1000 is all non refundable? Or I can get refund for certain amount?
It's been less than 30 days and I believe that I saw some post about gettting refund less than 30 days after I put deposit on the website but after I withdraw my application, it was all gone.

anyone have any info about thiss?

Thanks

they will give you back a whopping $100 smack-er-oos!!!

🙂 American capitalism at its finest.

Kind of a stiff penalty, but chump change in the big picture of getting into an established school instead.

Contact the school again, they may have been mistaken the first time or they could make an exception.
I'd call, not write/email. Much tougher to say, "I'm a greedy bastard" in person.

It's an unfortunate situation, but schools usually are very up-front with candidates and the deposit. I also paid a deposit to Midwestern, and knew ahead of time what the deal was with withdrawing after the deposit. The truth is that when dealing with that amount of money, even if there is a slight chance you may withdraw it would be good to look at the financial ramifications ahead of time.

Good luck
