Hi,

You seem to know alot about Emory. I was accepted to the GH program, but just discovered it is a 2 year/ 4 semester course. Do u know if this can be done in a shorter time by doing more courses?

Hey! I agree with what gladifimakeit said, for personal dialogue send private messages, but I think that this is a valid question that people may be interested in so I'll answer on here. One of the people that I spoke to at Emory actually said that they didn't know it was a 4 semester program until they got there last fall!!! Haha, it happens to the best of us.

I doubt I know more about Emory than many other accepted students, and a current student may be able to shed more light on this (like JMM), however, I was told that Global Health is only available in the 4 semester format. I was told that the shorter, 3 semester, option was only usable for HPM, EPI, and Global EPI. That was also reflected in the acceptance packet (in mine it's on page 24).

If 3 semesters is a make or break situation for you you could always call Emory and see if they make any exceptions...If time is the issue you may be able to do a Fall, Spring, Summer, Fall (being done in 1.5 years with 4 semesters) - I don't know for sure that this is an option, but it seems reasonable...if it's price, the price for 3 semester programs is 17,700 per semester and only 13,200 a semester for 4 semester programs, so the totals: 53,100 and 52,800 respectively actually make the 4 semester program slightly cheaper (although, economically - more time out of the workforce, additional loans for rent, etc for an extra semester - it might be more expensive depending on your situation).

Good luck!

While I could have enough credits to graduate next semester, a required component of the BSHE program is the thesis or capstone, both primarily completed in the spring. You need to contact the department directly because requirements do differ between concentrations (HPM has a one year track).
