On the pitt secondary, it says that every LOR has to have a cover sheet listing the class credits, class taken, etc. I'm using the Berkeley letter writing service from the career center which just sends out a packet. What are you guys or gals doing about this? Thanks in advance.

I believe if you are using a letter service, you don't have to include that, but I am not positive!

I think that my school (UCI) has the same letter packet service as you guys and I didn't include the cover letters with my recs and I just got an interview invitation from Pitt. I had the same worries as you in the beginning, but after contacting some schools I found that they don't mind you using your schools cover letter as long as it has your info on it. One school's cover letter (I think it was Wash U) asked specific questions such as: "rank this student by percent, compared to other students you have worked with" and they still said it was okay if I don't include it.

Don't take my word for it though, just contact the school and make sure...good luck!!

Thanks guys. I'll contact the school to make sure. Much appreciated.

I called and had it verified that it is OK to not include their cover sheet if you use a letter handling service. Also, after placing the call, I saw that this was posted in the "Read Me" section of the application. (Yeah, I felt pretty stupid.) Good luck.
