Question for current doc's

I am a second year and would like to find out how I can obtain information about how many OD's are in a certain area. I am just thinking ahead. Do you have any other suggestions about obtaining or opening private practice? thanks-

Use the internet. Use state association websites. They'll usually have a list of all the docs in the state.

I would purchase an existing practice...just be prepared to invest lots of $$ in renovations/equipment up-grades, as many older ODs are not current.
