WEll, I am trying to decide between JEfferson and UMass. Well, UMass seems to allow a lot of money in the school year budget for living expenses and the like, which can help me live like a normal person.

Jefferson, however, doesn't seem to be that way. They do allow quite a bit for room and board, but the rest of their allowances don't seem to leave much room.

If you are a student at Jefferson, can you please fill me in on what you know?

I'm not a student at Jefferson, but I do know Philadelphia pretty well, so I'll offer this advise:

When comparing cost of living and budgetary allowances, bear in mind that housing alone in the greater Boston area is 2-3 times the housing costs in Philadelphia. So if the housing allowances are similar between the two budgets, the allowance from Jeff might actually be MORE condusive to living like a "normal" person.

(I haven't seen the figures, so you'll have to do the comparison yourself. Living expenses in Boston are among the highest in the country. It was a major consideration for me while deciding between grad programs at Brandeis (ok, it's not IN Boston, but still...) and Syracuse.
