I know there are conflicting opinions about this, but with recommendations from M3s at my school and seeing certain advice here, I decided to buy USMLE World for a year.

How would you guys recommend integrating it though? I am having trouble deciding which questions to do because honestly, I'm not sure if our school has covered the material yet.

For example, immunology. We did a lot of immuno, but most of it was basic stuff and I'm not sure how it ties into the particular systems.

With anatomy.. is this anatomy associated with pathologies or straight anatomy?

It seems as though during the school year, doing UWorld might be helpful doing during study week for exams, but I'm not sure how to use it during the block itself.

The opposite it's actually not that helpful for exams. Esp at my school which is not a US school and the Med2 curriculum was at times more like Med3 level integrating some treatment and management etc.

I personally had Rx throughout Med2 which I solved sporadically.. Finished it a month into Med3. So for UWorld and if you do want to solve it during the year (a smart choice if you ask me. It helps to repeat it twice and nail it), then you have to accept the fact that you will get many questions that are covering material that you still don't know yet.. and thus the bank would be a learning material more than a testing material..
however the more you focus the system the more you are likely to get focused questions. If you are doing GI and you pick GI physiology as your questions to solve then you won't get many foreign questions from different systems or subjects..

I did uWorld for about 8 months prior to the test....during MS2. I tried my best to do 46 questions a night every night and then going over the explanations the next day even if this allowed for less class study time. Remember this test is way more important than your grades. uWorld is not that useful for studying for classes. However starting uWorld early is the single most important thing that I did for boards and I ended up with a pretty good score. I ended up getting through the bank 3+ times.....reinforcing the explanations more and more each time, just like going through FA multiple times. I didn't worry about my % correct, I just made sure that I understood ALL of the explanations. I started out pretty poorly and gradually improved so don't be discouraged if your initial scores are low.
