hello,

Requirements for premed include ONE YEAR (2 classes?) of biology.

However my school does not offer classes like 'General Chemistry 1 and 2.' It offers one 100 level course as a prerequisite for their THREE CORE courses.

Freshman Biology
BIO 150 The Living World

Fundamentals of Biology (Core Courses)
BIO 201 Organisms to Ecosystems
BIO 202 Cell & Molecular Biology
BIO 203 Cell & Organ Physiology

Any ideas on what i should take to fulfill teh requirement?
Where should I go to find out what courses I need to take?

Thanks!

Are you on a quarter system or a semester system? If its a quarter system....you might just have to do an extra quarter for your pre-reqs, since you are required 3 courses on the quarter system. Now, if you are on the semester system, I think you might be able to get away with skipping 201, because the other two seem to cover the bio basics required for the MCAT. I don't really know how your school is though, and I'm certainly no expert. Good luck.

Does your school have a pre-med advisor? If not do any of the Biology advisor have knowledge about applying to med school? I would ask them. You can't be the first to apply from your school so they should be able to help you pick the right choices. Good luck
