Is anyone aware of any loan forgiveness programs for new grad podiatrists who want to work in third world countries?

Have you looked into the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF), in a very brief nutshell: After 120 IBR payments (10 years) your federal loans (not private) are forgiven as long as you worked for a non-profit hospital during that time.

Second, i commend you on your altruism ! After you finish residency, and are practicing, you can always sign up / enlist for MSF.
