Do tutors at TPR or Kaplan go over content review or how to answer the questions related to a passage ?
Also, how does it work with verbal ? do they just provide new strategies?

I took a TPR private tutor thing for verbal first and then a year later I took the TPR course. My tutor guy basically taught me the the exact same thing that they teach in the course for VR: the ranking stuff, types of questions, types of traps, etc. I guess the only real difference is that if you have a private tutor, they can tell you what ur weakness is in VR since they work with you on passages and you get all that individualized attention. You don't really need a tutor for this though; you can do this by yourself at home, although it might take longer for you to realize what your mistakes are. My tutor also explained his reasoning behind answering some of the questions, so that helped a little too. I've heard some people say that their TPR tutor provided them with new strategies that were different than TPR's methods when their scores weren't going up. My tutor didn't really do this though, so it might just depend on whose tutoring you and stuff.

Honestly though, and this is just me, I spend all that $$ on the private tutor AND the course, and after all that my verbal still wasn't anywhere near where I wanted it to be. Only recently did I start to really see some progress, but I figured it out on my own. The private tutor for verbal doesn't help, but thats just my opinion.
