with each clerkship being 4 weeks long (28 days) and ADT 45 days long, how do you schedule your rotation? do you usually schedule two (one 4weeker and another 2 week?) or do you do schedule one for 45 days? I'm looking into doing a 4 week optho at fort Sam.

thanks in advance

they don't have to be the full 45 days. i scheduled them so i spent a month at the rotation on ADT and the remainder at my school (on my next rotation). basically you get paid for 45 days but only are there for 4 weeks.

You sign up for a 6 week ADT. Within those 6 weeks you have your 4 weeks at your site. The remaining two weeks are fulfilled at school (they can precede or follow (or both!) the actual clerkship). When you are signing up for ADT on the website you will notice they ask for your travel dates.
