Hi. I'm trying to use one of those AMCAS GPA calculators to track my coursework. I'm wondering what courses that are considered in the BCPM category since I took 4 non-transferable, below-college level courses at a community college. Specifically, at the CC, I took a pre-college algebra class(Math 96) because the school required me to prior to taking college-level algebra (Math105). Do I count both of these in the BCPM section anyways? Or just the college level course? Thanks.

It will count in your science GPA.
A friend of mine took a conceptual physics class (in high school, dual credit). It counts in his sGPA, but it will not count towards the prerequisite for physics. So he had to re-take physics, either algebra or calculus based, at a 4 yr university for it to meet the prereq requirements.

I assume the non-transferable CC classes were included on your CC transcript?

The AMCAS Guide (pp. 3-5) doesn't support excluding them:

Dang.. that sucks, didn't realize they would consider pre-college classes like that. Thanks for the link, bookmarked.

Ah ... yea these non-transferable classes are on my CC transcript. That's unfortunate. Thanks though, glad I found out earlier than later.
