Question regarding EAD

I want to know this as well...residents out there working on EAD with pending permenant/immirgant status please shed some light on this. Really appreciated.
Also to PD's on this forum: on ERAS there is an option of current status (EAD in my case) and then they ask: "what visa would you have once you match" I expect to be a permenant resident but the only answer I could find is "immigrant" would that do (meaning would residencies UNDERSTAND wth I'm talking about; i'm assuming they know all this stuff back and forth or would it require thorogh written thesis)?

You can absolutely be a resident on an EAD.
I believe EAD is a choice in ERAS when you choose what visa type you will be looking for.

EAD is absolutely a choice in ERAS.
Do you believe applicants who anticipate to have EAD are more favorably considered by PD's compared to those who need visa? What if I choose EAD and, later on, I encounter a delay in my EAD and have to start on J or H visa? How will that affect me?

I think pending EAD would still leave someone in a limbo as you don't have it NOW - PD's probably don't like that for obvious reasons. people probably have to select H1 or J1 as you'd need some status
on the other hand, pending permenant residency applications with current EAD in your hand is great as you can work anywhere and do not need any sponsorship.
however, I did see 'immigrant' status on ERAS, I think i'll be giving those folks a call for clarification, to the posters on this thread, i think calling ERAS people might yield the answers we're looking for.
