Hi guys! So I actually signed an MPN for both the unsubsidized and grad plus loans for medical school. Let's say if I don't want to take out the grad plus loans, I can decline that offer right, and signing the MPN for the grad plus loan doesn't obligate me to take out that loan right? Will I be able to cancel the MPN for the grad plus loan or just declining that loan when my school provides me that info is enough? Just wanted to make sure. Thanks!

The only thing the MPN does is make you officially responsible for any and all government loans you take out no matter what happens. It has no bearing on whether or not you actually take and use the money.

Declining the loans or returning the money (I think there is no interest if repaid in 30 or 60 days) works. The MPN may be needed in the future.

So just declining that loan is fine and the MPN that I have already signed for the grad plus loans can still stay the way it is? Just making sure
